Keep your jewelry shiny: tips and tricks
Looking for tips on how to care for your jewelry? Whether gold or silver, it's often the key piece of any look, but proper care and maintenance are essential to ensure its longevity and prevent tarnishing, scratching, or discoloration. In this article, we'll give you some tips on how to care for and clean your jewelry.

Jewelry doesn't just add shine and beauty to our wardrobe—it also carries sentimental value . However, to ensure it stays in good condition and maintains its shine, it's important to take good care of it.
Show your pieces how valuable they are to you and follow some precautions to be taken, namely: avoid contact with chemical products such as perfumes, cosmetics, pool chlorine or cleaning products, always remove the jewelry when washing your hands or taking a shower and store them in a soft place to avoid scratching or damaging them , preferably in their own compartments.
On the other hand, in the case of silver jewelry, if it is already oxidized or losing its color, there are some tricks you can try at home to clean your silver jewelry, namely:
1. Clean silver jewelry with salt: Pour hot water into a bowl (just enough to cover the jewelry you want to clean). Add salt and aluminum foil cut into small strips. Now, dip the jewelry in this mixture. Let it sit for 5 minutes. When you see that the silver's shine has returned, you can remove the piece from the solution. Under cold running water, rinse the salt from the piece and gently dry it using a soft cloth or microfiber towel. The silver jewelry should be as good as new. If you still notice signs of tarnish, repeat the process until it's clean.
2. Clean silver jewelry with toothpaste: Simply use toothpaste and a soft, dry cloth, or even an old toothbrush you no longer use. Brush it over the darkened and dirty silver; after a few brushings, it will shine again. Now, just rinse with water and dry to admire its shine again.
