What is a Certified Appraisal?
A certified appraisal is a legally valid valuation document, written in detail and itemising each article individually — identifying its individual value and intrinsic characteristics. A certified appraisal is accepted by any official body, including courts, and is valid for purposes such as inheritance, estate planning, asset division and related matters, in accordance with Law 98/2015, Article 47.
We hold professional indemnity insurance as required under Article 54 of the Legal Framework for Goldsmiths and Assay Offices, approved by Law No. 98/2015 of 18 August, as amended by Decree-Law No. 120/2017 of 15 September (RJOC), and under Articles 11 et seq. of Ministerial Order No. 333-B/2017 of 3 November.
