This medal depicts Our Lady of Graces and is known as the Miraculous Medal. One of the best-known Marian symbols in Catholic tradition, it is associated with protection, faith, blessings and divine intercession.

Mary is shown with open arms and rays of light extending from her hands, symbolising the graces granted to those who pray with faith. The inscription is in Portuguese: “Ó Maria concebida sem pecado, rogai por nós que recorremos a vós.” It means: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

The prayer expresses devotion to the Immaculate Conception and a request for spiritual protection. Alongside its religious meaning, this classic, timeless jewel is worn daily as a symbol of protection and spiritual connection.
